Harleen Sidhu led the UBC Thunderbirds women’s basketball team to a perfect 3-for-3 weekend winning the Darcel Wright Memorial Classic in Toronto, ON.

On Friday, Sidhu knocked down 19 points in a 69-42 victory over York University. In the semi final on Saturday she tallied nine points in the Thunderbirds 57-40 win over McMaster University. However, she saved her best game for the final, shooting a perfect 10-for-10 from the floor and finishing with 21 points in UBC’s 75-51 win over the University of Saskatchewan on Sunday.

The fifth-year player finished the weekend 21-of-31 shooting, an impressive 68% from the floor. 

Sidhu and the rest of the Thunderbirds will wrap up exhibition play this Saturday when they play host to Western Washington University at 1:45 pm on Saturday, November 1st at War Memorial Gymnasium. UBC will open the Canada West regular season at home on the weekend of November 7-8 against Victoria.
