Full-time & Term Positions

Term Position

Sports Marketing and In-Game Promotions Assistant

Term: January 5, 2026 – May 1, 2026

Support the Thunderbirds marketing team with in-game entertainment, festival event delivery, fan engagement, and community initiatives across varsity programs.

  • Assist with in-game promotions, entertainment cues, and sponsor activations.
  • Help coordinate performers: Thunder, Marching Band, Cheer, anthem singers.
  • Support event presentation, runs of show, jumbo screen assets.
  • Collaborate with Work Learn students and Varsity Events staff.

Part-time Positions

Game Day

Varsity Promotions Staff

Help create a high-energy fan experience across football, hockey, basketball, volleyball, and festival games including Winter Classic, Courtside, Pride Night, and Thunderstruck.

  • Lead in-game contests, promotions, and giveaways.
  • Support sponsor activations and theme night elements.
  • Collaborate with producers, DJ, announcer, and Thunder.

Game Day

Varsity Events Announcer

Deliver starting lineups, sponsor reads, in-game promotions, and event protocol announcements. Primary focus is basketball at War Memorial Gym, with opportunities across other sports.

  • Read scripted content including lineups and promotional messages.
  • Follow runs of show while adapting to live flow.
  • Collaborate with in-game producer, DJ, and operations staff.
