Varsity Events Announcer
Do you have a strong voice and a passion for live sports? UBC Thunderbirds Athletics is looking for energetic In-Venue Public Address Announcers to join our team for the 2025-26 basketball season and beyond. Announcers deliver scripted content such as starting lineups, sponsor messages, in-game promotions, and key event protocols all live in front of fans at War Memorial Gym and other UBC venues.
While basketball will be a primary focus, announcers may also have opportunities to support other varsity sports throughout the season, including volleyball, hockey, football, and more.

Varsity Basketball Scorekeeping Team Lead
We're looking for a detail-oriented and experienced leader to oversee scorekeeping operations for UBC Varsity basketball games. This role manages all technical aspects of the scorer’s table including scoreboard, shot clock, game clock, message board, game sheets, and video capture, all while ensuring procedures align with U SPORTS and Canada West regulations. The Team Lead will also support other varsity sports and plays a key role in coordinating gameday logistics, managing staff, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and accuracy during events.
