Thunderbird Alumni Council (TAC)
The Thunderbird Alumni Council (TAC) is composed of an alumni representative from each varsity sport. The Council is founded on the belief that success in competition is enhanced with shared knowledge and access to greater resources. The TAC will serve to:
- Foster a transparent, two-way dialogue with the Senior Athletic Director on strategic issues facing Varsity Athletics;
- Develop and share best practices for team development including engagement, fundraising and dialogue with coaches;
- Support the Senior Athletics Director to achieve excellence in Varsity teams, thereby supporting the advancement of UBC Athletics;
- Engage alumni for financial support and as advocates for the advancement of UBC Athletics; and
- Develop and implement strategies that cultivate the next generation of TAC members and each team's supporters.
