The Women's Leadership Network brings together a strong community of female UBC alumni with a series of fun, public events. UBC Athletics is committed to taking a leadership role in gender equity, as well as to elevate the profile of the Thunderbird women’s teams and raise funds for scholarships for female athletes.
The last Women's Leadership Network event was at Courtside 2023. There, UBC alumni, supporters and student-athletes all gathered at our Women’s Leadership Network reception ahead of enjoying a front row seat at our Courtside festival event, when the UBC Thunderbirds Women’s Basketball team took on UVic. Details for the next event are to be confirmed. Below is what the previous event looked like.

Date: Saturday, November 25th, 2023
Time: 3:00 p.m. reception, 4:00 p.m. basketball game
Location: Room 100, War Memorial Gym
Tickets
$15 – all ticket purchases include a drink, light refreshments, a floor seat ticket to the game and free parking. (need place to input license plate)
Children are very welcome to attend and tickets can be purchased for them for $5, includes a drink and refreshments.
Should you want to be a Blue and Gold Champion, you can purchase a ticket for $100; for your contribution you will receive a partial tax receipt. All proceeds will go to the Women’s Varsity Blue and Gold Endowment Fund.
