It was an outstanding Canada West debut for UBC Thunderbirds women’s hockey player Cassandra Vilgrain. The forward from Calgary recorded five points in a season-opening two-game series against the Saskatchewan Huskies, which ended in a split. Vilgrain now leads the Canada West with five points, along with teammate Nicole Saxvik.
