UBC Thunderbirds women's golfer Kat Kennedy (Okotoks, Alta.), was part of a historic week for the program at the Golf Canada Canadian University/College Championship in Parksville, B.C., which ended June 3.

She won individual medalist honours by shooting a four-round score of 12-over-par 300 (80-70-77-73) to finish four strokes ahead of her nearest rival. Kennedy led UBC to the team title, which the T-Birds won by 19 shots. UBC swept both the men's and women's individual and team championships, becoming the first program to do so in tournament history.

For Kennedy, her triumph at the Morningstar Golf Club was her fourth of the season.
