Forward David Wagner of the men's basketball team scored 39 points and eight rebounds to help his team to two home wins on the weekend.

In Friday's exciting 95-93 win over the visiting Winnipeg Wesmen, Wagner was dominant, hitting 13 of his 16 field goal attempts en route to scoring 29 points. The Kamloops, B.C. native also grabbed five rebounds.

On Saturday, Wagner delivered another efficient performance, going 5-for-6 from the field to score 10 points.

With the weekend sweep, UBC improved to 4-4 on the season and Wagner moved into 14th place in the Canada West scoring race.
