Captain of the UBC women's hockey team, Christi Capozzi has helped lead UBC to an impressive 12-3-1 start to the 2013-14 season, good for first place in the conference. The fifth year blueliner has one goal and seven assists in 16 games this season. She is also the team's shootout specialist. So far this season she is 5-for-5 in the shootout, including four game winners.

The defending Canada West champions won 10 of their last 11 games heading into the holiday break.

Whilte the rest of her teammates will get a much needed break, Capozzi along with fellow Thunderbirds forward Tatiana Rafter are in Trentino, Italy for the 2013 Winter Universiade competing for Canada.
