UBC Thunderbirds midfielder Sean Einarsson scored all three goals in his team’s 3-0 victory over the No. 9 Victoria Vikes on Friday night in Vancouver. It was the lone game for the second-ranked Thunderbirds last week.
 
The top-10 battle was scoreless at the half, but Einarsson scored twice in three minutes and then added an insurance marker to give UBC its seventh straight victory.
 
In the 52nd minute, he scored on a low shot from the right side of the penalty area, placing the ball inside the left goalpost.
 
In the 54th minute, Einarsson knocked in a rebound that came off Victoria goalkeeper Noah Pawlowski in the middle of the 18-yard box.
 
He finished off his hat trick with a header goal in the 73rd minute.
 
Einarsson shot up the leaderboard in the Canada West goal-scoring race with his performance on the weekend. The Applied Science student is now tied for second in the league with six goals on the season.
 
UBC will play at Thompson Rivers and UBC Okanagan this weekend.
