MUSCLE MLK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK



Tatiana Rafter recorded four points to lead her UBC Thunderbirds to a weekend sweep of the visiting Manitoba Bisons.
 
Rafter, a Winnipeg native, scored once on Friday night as her team won 4-3.
 
On Saturday afternoon, the reigning Canada West Most Valuable Player, got the game-winning goal in a 5-2 triumph. She also scored UBC's fifth goal while assisting on another.
 
Rafter's play helped UBC earn all six points up for grabs on the weekend and move past Manitoba into second place in the Canada West standings.
 
She sits third in league scoring with 28 points in 24 games.
 
The Thunderbirds will have to chance to claim the Canada West's regular season title this weekend, when they visit the league-leading Alberta Pandas for the last games of the 2014-15 conference campaign.
