MUSCLE MLK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK


Hannah Haughn of the UBC Thunderbirds moved to the top of the Canada West women's field hockey scoring race with a pair of goals on the weekend as her team swept the Calgary Dinos on the road.

On Saturday, the North Vancouver, B.C., native recorded UBC's second goal in a 4-0 victory. Her insurance marker came at the nine-minute mark.

Haughn opened the scoring for UBC on Sunday just after halftime in the 43rd minute. The goal stood up as the game winner as the T-Birds claimed a 2-0 win to improve to 2-0-2 on the year.

Haughn now leads the league in scoring with three goals in four games.

UBC has a week off before travelling to Vancouver Island for a two-game set against Victoria.
