Justin Kent came home from the 2014 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Gulf Shores, Alabama with a pair of medals, one gold and one silver.
A third-year Arts student, Kent won the men's 3000m steeplechase in an impressive time of 8:52.92.Â
The native of Surrey, BC was also part of UBC's 4x800m relay team which had to settle for silver after being beaten out down the stretch by Indiana Tech.
The UBC men ended up finishing fifth overall, like the women, behind the winners from Indiana Tech.
