This year marks Cam Kerr’s fourth season with the UBC women’s hockey team. A retired high school teacher after 35 years in West Vancouver, he is currently a scout for the national women’s team.  Kerr hails from Saskatoon where he played his minor and junior hockey with the Blades. After his junior career he journeyed to Provo, Utah, where he played for four years for BYU. Back in Canada, he played for the UBC Thunderbirds in 1969. Coaching has been his passion for many years, coaching Junior and Midget in the Lower Mainland. He had the good fortune to take teams to the Under-17 world tournament in Quebec in 1985, guest coach the Olympic team in 1985, and co-coach the Chinese National Team in 1981. He was also the owner operator of a hockey school in Lake Cowichan for 17 summers and has been a guest instructor at many schools since.
