Bilko grew up in Wisconsin, playing boys' and girls' AAA hockey. She then attended Shattuck St. Mary's School from 2005-08, winning two national championships in the U19 girls division, alongside a majority of the Team USA roster.
Bilko became part of the United States Olympic Development Program in 2004.
She played her NCAA Division I hockey at Ohio State University in the WCHA from 2008-10 and honed her skills as a netminder under the tutelage of former Canucks goaltending coach Ian Clark and Philadelphia Flyers goalie Bruce Hoffert.
After multiple wrist surgeries, Bilko turned to coaching, working in the Columbus Blue Jackets organization running goaltending camps and as a private goaltending instructor.
Last season, she joined the Ohio State coaching staff.
Since July, Bilko has been working with Athletes in Action Hockey Canada running hockey camps and now lives in Langley, B.C. working for Athletes in Action at UBC and SFU campuses, as well as partnering with professional goaltending coaches Pasco Valana of Elite Goalies and Andy Nielsen of Next Level Goaltending.
