VANCOUVER –
Zara Huntley (5th, Halifax, NS) hit a pair of foul shots with 0.4 seconds left in the game to give her No. 3 UBC Thunderbirds women's basketball team a slim 60-58 victory over the Fraser Valley Cascades tonight in Abbotsford.
The win gives UBC a split of the weekend matchup between the top two teams in the Canada West's Pacific Division.
Huntley also sank two foul shots with 35 seconds remaining to tie the game at 58. The fifth-year forward ended the game 9-10 on free throws as she recorded a team-leading 15 points and nine rebounds.
As a team, UBC missed just one foul shot in 16 chances.
The two teams traded the lead eight times in the fourth, leading up to Huntley's heroics at the end of the game.

Fraser Valley took the lead 47-46 with seven and a half minutes left after coming back from a 13-point third quarter deficit.
UBC took a 33-24 lead into the half, an advantage built on solid defence and sharp shooting as the Thunderbirds shot 42.3 percent from the field in the first two quarters.
But UBC also committed 20 turnovers in the game, compared to just nine from Fraser Valley.
Kris Young (2nd, North Vancouver, BC) chipped in with 14 points and eight rebounds for UBC while
Kristen Hughes (4th, North Vancouver, BC) added 11 points.
Alex Vieweg (5th, North Vancouver, BC) was third T-Bird in double digits.
Aieisha Luyken scored 15 points to lead Fraser Valley.
UBC improves to 13-3 in regular season play with two games to go. The 'Birds will finish the reglar season with a home-and-home series against Victoria. The first game will be next Friday in Vancouver. The return match will be on Feb. 17 in Victoria.
Fraser Valley drops to 11-6 and will finish off its conference schedule with a game next week against Trinity Western.
