VANCOUVER – The UBC Thunderbirds women's hockey team is looking to get back to the win column as it hosts the No. 3 Calgary Dinos this weekend at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre in Vancouver. The two teams played in Calgary in early November, with the Dinos taking 8-1 and 5-1 decisions over UBC.

UBC is looking to record its first victory of 2012, having gone winless since the first weekend of the season.
The Thunderbirds have struggled this campaign with a young roster, which has managed to score 16 goals in 16 games, the lowest figure in the Canada West.
Centre
Tatiana Rafter leads the team with three goals, and is also the only T-Bird in the top 30 in Canada West scoring with eight points in 15 games played.
Defensively, UBC has surrendered a league-high 67 goals so far this season.
Despite this, the team's rookie goaltenders,
Samantha Langford and
Carly Butcher, have provided the Thunderbirds with solid play in net.
Langford ranks second in the Canada West in saves made.

Calgary leads the league in scoring, powered by a potent offensive attack.
The No. 3 team in the country has scored 18 goals in its last three games.
Canadian Olympic hero Hayley Wickenheiser has 20 points in just nine matches this season, Iya Gavrilova and Elana Lovell both have 18 points and Stephanie Ramsay has 17.
That gives Calgary four of the top seven scorers in the league.
The Dinos have also given up the fewest goals this season in the Canada West. Goaltender Amanda Tapp leads the conference in wins with 11, against just four losses.
