UBC Thunderbirds forward Harleen Sidhu led her team to a sweep of the Regina Cougars in the Canada West quarter-finals on the weekend.
 
The fifth-year player from Surrey, B.C., recorded 44 points and 12 rebounds in the victories.
 
On Friday night, Sidhu made 11 of her 18 field goal attempts and scored 23 points in just 27 minutes of play as UBC won 75-59.
 
On Saturday, she was instrumental in the Thunderbirds’ 68-63 comeback triumph. UBC fell behind 21-4 to open the game but Sidhu then scored 10 of her team’s next 12 points to get the T-Birds within single digits by the end of the quarter.
 
Sidhu finished the game with 21 points overall and eight rebounds as UBC clinched a spot in the Canada West Final Four, which the Thunderbirds will host March 6-7 at War Memorial Gymnasium in Vancouver.
