Alissa Coulter was the most influential player for the T-Birds over the course of their season-opening weekend, as they swept the Manitoba Bisons 3-0 in back-to-back matches.
 
A fifth-year outside hitter from Calgary, Coulter was a terror on offense, as she led or shared the team-lead in kills in both games, notching 9 in the first contest, followed by 13 in game two. Coulter was also spectacular in her defensive coverage, as the fifth-year outside hitter racked up eight digs in each contest, to go with two blocks on each day.
 
With the pair of wins, UBC sits fourth in Canada West, though they have two games in hand on all of UBC Okanagan, Trinity Western, and Calgary.
