Supporting Champions In and Out of the Classroom

The UBC Baseball program, which was restarted in 1997, is entering its 29th season in the 2025-26 school year. We are very proud of what has been accomplished in a short period of time. Much of this is owed to the dedication and sacrifice from our former players, coaches, present donors and long-term supporters.

At the beginning of this decade, we launched a more formal giving program for our alumni and supporters. The goal is to engage our former players while investing in five areas to continue the momentum we are gaining in taking the UBC Baseball program to the next level.

All funds raised by our alumni and supporters will be invested into our Decade of Dominance Fund. The goal is to produce well-rounded players who take advantage of their time at UBC in receiving a world class education combined with an elite collegiate baseball experience.

Our goal is to work towards funding all five priority areas fully over the 2020s. Join us once again and continue your UBC Baseball legacy. To donate, click here.

You Make It Happen

Gifts made to UBC Baseball impact the program in five different areas:

Varsity Team Academic Coaches
Varsity Team Academic Coaches (VTAC) are team personnel who work with our players during the year to ensure academic success. This investment provides unlimited tutoring for our scholar-athletes, as well as allowing two VTAC coaches to travel with the team on road trips. Total: $20,000 per year

Scholarship and Award Support
During the 2018/19 season, UBC Baseball gave out $180,000 in baseball scholarship money. Under NAIA rules, we are allowed to give out $248,000. Our goal is to provide the maximum amount of scholarship support possible to ensure we keep Canada's best scholar-athletes at home. Total: $68,000 per year

Strength and Conditioning Support
We are currently provided full access to the varsity weight room as well as all workouts led by a UBC Thunderbirds full-time strength coach. With a large team roster, more resources and attention are needed for our players to reach their athletic potential. Total: $10,000 per year

Coaching Support
In 2018/19, our budget provided a full-time head coach and assistant coach position. All NCAA baseball programs have three full-time paid coaches. To compete with the best programs in North America, we aim to fund one more full-time assistant coach and one graduate assistant coach position. Total: $70,000 per year

International Travel Support
We aim to give our players experiences in baseball, culture and education that they will never forget, including opportunities to go on international trips and play schools from around the world. We want to continue these international opportunities in the future. Total: $50,000 per year
