Overview: One of the emotional leaders of the team...great work ethic at both ends of the floor...tenacious rebounder and defender...gets to the rim on offence and defence.

2008-09: Appeared in 19 games for the Thunderbirds, starting 14 and averaging 17.1 minutes per game during conference play…missed four games due to injury…led the team in field goal percentage shooting 51.9% during Canada West play…finished fifth on the team in total rebounds with 106…finished fifth on the team in rebounding average with 3.9 per game…led the team in rebounds three times…recorded a season-high eight rebounds twice once vs. Calgary at the 2009 CIS Championships (Mar. 14, 2009) and vs. Simon Fraser (Jan. 10, 2009)…had a season-high 15 points and three 3-pointers in the Pacific Division semi-final vs. Simon Fraser (Feb. 13, 2009)…tallied a season-high five steals vs. Winnipeg (Jan. 16, 2009).
2007-08: Played in all 23 conference games and made three starts during his first season with the Thunderbirds...finished fourth on the team in scoring with 9.9 points per game and fourth in rebounding with 4.1 boards per game.

Before UBC: Spent two seasons at Langara College...led the Falcons in scoring during the 2006-07 season with 18.9 points per game...two-time All-Around Student-Athlete award winner at Langara...member  of the U17 Provincial Team (2004)...graduate of McMath HS...led his fourth-ranked McMath Wildcats to a semi-final appearance at the 2005 BC AAA Tournament…named a first-team AAA all-star in 2005.

Family: His father is former two-time BC AAA MVP and BC Basketball legend Brent Watson who played at Washington State in the late 1960s and was part of the National Team program...sister, Breanne, played four seasons with the University of Washington Huskies and she currently plays professionally in Europe.
