Biography

Fifth Year (2011-2012): Started 31 of 31 games averaging 26.1 mpg, 13.9 ppg, 6.9 rpg and 1.4 bpg while shooting .521 from the floor and .777 from the free throw line.

 

Fourth Year (2010-2011): A regular starter since her 2nd year, Huntley started 23 of 24 games in her fourth season and became a focal point of the ‘Bird’soffense leading UBC in scoring. Huntley garnered Canada West All-Star honors manning the paint, reaching double digits 18 times, leading the team in rebounding ten times and the Canada West in blocks with 42.

 

Third Year (2009-10): Appeared in all 21 conference games and made 20 starts while averaging a career-high 24.9 minutes per game. Ranked fifth in the Canada West and led the team in conference rebounding averaging 7.8 boards per game. Led the T-Birds in rebounds 11 times. Grabbed a season-high 14 rebounds at Winnipeg (Nov.27, 2009). Reached double figures in rebounds seven times. Tied for the team lead in offensive rebounds averaging 2.3 per game. Led the team in scoring with 13.7 points per game. Led the T-Birds in scoring nine times. Scored a career-high 27 points vs. Brandon (Jan. 9, 2010). Reached double figures in points 16 times. Recorded four double-doubles. Ranked second in the Canada West and led the team with 1.7 blocks per game. Led the team in blocks on 13 occasions. Notched a season-high four blocks vs. Alberta (Nov. 14, 2009). Had a season-high three assists twice at Thompson Rivers (Nov. 19, 2009) and vs. Victoria (Feb. 6, 2010). Collected a season-high two steals twice.

 

Second Year (2008-09): Appeared in all 23 conference games making 15 starts. Finished 23rd in the conference and second on the team in scoring (10 ppg). Led the T-Birds in scoring seven time. Scored a season-high 20 points on two occasions. Led the T-Birds and finished fourth in the CW in playoff scoring (15 pgg). Placed seventh in the CW and second on the team in field goal percentage (47.1%). Second on the team in free-throw shooting percentage (75.5%) Ranked 20th in the conference and second on the team in rebounding (5.8 rpg). Placed sixth in the CW and second on the team in blocked shots (36).

 

First year (2007-2008): Appeared in 22 games as a rookie, starting one, averaging 17 mpg, 5.7 ppg and 5.0 rpb while shooting .475 from the floor. Huntley is 1 of 2 T-Birds who were a part of the 2008 National Championship team.

 

Personal:
Played for Canada at the 2009 World University Games (Belgrade, Serbia). Represented Canada at the 2007 FIBA U19 World Championships (Russia). Member of Basketball Canada’s NEDA program. Graduate of Queen Elizabeth High School (Halifax, NS). Starter on the Nova Scotia provincial team before coming to UBC.
