BELLEVUE, Wash. – The UBC Thunderbirds hit a pair of home runs to erase one-run deficits but ultimately fell 4-2 to the host Seattle Redhawks in non-conference baseball action Saturday at Bannerwood Park in Bellevue, Wash.
Mitch Robinson went 3-for-5 at the plate Saturday for UBC (9-16), while
Austen Butler and
Jaxon Valcke had a couple of hits each.

Butler led off the top of the third inning with a home run to left center field to tie the game at 1-1.
After Austin Lively's RBI double in the fifth gave the home side a 2-1 advantage, the Thunderbirds tied it once again, this time with Valcke hitting a solo home run in the sixth.
With the game knotted at 2-2 in the bottom of the eighth, Jake Cosgrove of the Redhawks (12-7) stroked a double down the left field line to send Jacob Prater home from second for the go-ahead run and pinch runner Kyler Murphy home from first for an insurance score.
Â
After a strikeout to lead off the ninth, the Thunderbirds got a runner on first after pinch hitter
Braeden Allemann singled to center field. Seattle got the second out of the inning on another strikeout.
Anthony Cusati then singled through the right side, pushing Allemann to second, but Redhawks' reliever Zach Wolf recorded his third strikeout of the ninth to clinch the victory for the NCAA Division I program.
