VANCOUVER – The UBC Thunderbirds baseball team wrapped up its four-game series against the California State East Bay Pioneers Sunday with an 8-0 loss in Hayward, Calif.

The T-Birds (2-4) got hits from
Lichel Hirakawa-Kao,
Mitch Robinson,
Austen Butler, and
Anthony Cusati. Hirakawa-Kao, Cusati and Braeden Alleman each recorded a walk.

Second-year pitcher
James Bradwell got the start for UBC, giving up five earned runs in four innings.
Jack Caswell surrendered two runs in four innings of relief.

The T-Birds had a runner on third base with two outs on three occasions but were unable to bring a run home.

Monday will be a day off for the T-Birds who will face the Hope International (Calif.) Royals Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Fullerton, Calif.
