VANCOUVER - UBC Thunderbird point guard Phil Jalalpoor had quite the game on Friday evening. On the heels of being named an Academic All-Canadian earlier this week, Jalalpoor celebrated by nailing a UBC record eleven three pointers in the Thunderbirds 92-72 win over the Saskatchewan Huskies during the Ron and Jane Graham Shootout at the University of Saskatchewan. 

Jalalpoor was an impressive 11-17 from behind the arc and 13-23 overall from the field, scoring a career high 41 points. He also chipped in nine rebounds and four assists just for good measure.

As expected the Thunderbird basketball fans and followers voiced their pleasure via social media. Jalalpoor and the 'Birds play again on Saturday at 12pm PT versus Mount Royal.
