UBC Athletics and the entire UBC Thunderbird community would like to offer condolences to the family, friends, and teammates of Vancouver College and UBC Thunderbirds basketball star John Dumont. John passed away Thursday night after long battle with cancer. John is survived by his wife Trixie, his three sons Hunter, Jack, and Cole and countless friends and loved ones.

The basketball community is saddened today with the passing of John Dumont after his battle with cancer. John is one of the UBC all time greats and will be sadly missed.  He left a lifetime of great memories for everyone who ever met him. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Trixie, their three boys and John's entire family.

A service to remember John will he held Friday, September 9th at St. Augustine Church in Vancouver at 11am.
