UBC led 22-18 at the end of the first quarter and 42-34 at halftime. The team opened up a double-digit lead late in the second with a 7-0 run, which was sparked by layups from Morgan and Jalalpoor and capped off by a pair of Holloway free throws. It turned a two-possession game at 35-31 in favour of UBC into one in which the separation was 11 points (42-31) with just 32 seconds to go in the opening half.
Â
