T-Birds toppled in OT

PHOENIX – The UBC Thunderbirds men's basketball team concluded its Arizona trip with an 85-82 loss to Cochise College Friday at the Phoenix College Holiday Basketball Classic.

Guard Jordan Jensen-Whyte paced the UBC offence with a 22-point performance while forwards Patrick Simon and Conor Morgan scored 15 and 14 points, respectively.

The Thunderbirds were ahead for all but 12 seconds of regulation and held a 72-56 advantage with five and a half minutes remaining in the second half but Cochise mounted a furious rally – closing on a 22-6 run – to send the game into overtime.
