I couldn't finish my run because I thought I was too tired. I didn't go to the gym because I didn't feel like it. I ate fast food all week because I had no one to make food with. I wanted to work on my sport specific skills but had no one to work on them with…
Said no twin ever.
Growing up as twins we were inseparable. We had a lot of similar qualities, hobbies, likes and dislikes, but at the same time we had very different personalities. This made growing up while playing sports a pretty fun experience. As twins in sport, we were naturally competitive, and being constantly compared at everything we did undoubtedly started our never-ending, yet unspoken, competition with each other.
The most common question we get is 'What's it like growing up as a twin?' The answer is always the same. We don't know what it is like to not grow up as a twin. Being a twin has its perks, you have a best friend, can pull cool pranks, you always have someone to celebrate with, you have a dope 'wing-woman', and you never blend in (except with each other).
Nevertheless, when it comes to sport, being a twin brings everything to a new level. As an athlete you innately have a competitive side, but having a twin sister brings out a whole different level of competition. You want to beat each other in everything from on the field to off, yet you push each other to work harder and be better, to achieve higher goals than you have set for yourself, and you inspire each other to be the best you can be.

Also, people think we are one person on the field, just running around a lot. Nope. But we'll let the other teams keep thinking that.Â
