VANCOUVER - The No. 7-ranked UBC Thunderbirds women's volleyball team is looking to continue its perfect start to the 2015-16 Canada West season this weekend as the No. 10-ranked Calgary Dinos come to Vancouver for a
Friday-Saturday doubleheader.
Over 1300 elementary and secondary school students will be on hand as the 'Birds clash with their rivals from the prairies.
The Thunderbirds are a perfect 4-0 coming into this weekend's series, after winning two-game series at home against Manitoba and on the road at Regina over the past two weeks. UBC hasn't lost a set in regular season play so far.
Last weekend in Regina, UBC won 25-21, 25-18 and 25-16 on Friday night, and 25-12, 26-24 and 25-12 on Saturday.
Danielle Brisebois is currently fifth in the Canada West in kills per set (4.00), second in hitting percentage (.393) and first in service aces (0.92). She was also named the female Thunderbird of the Week for her performance in Regina.

Alissa Coulter is first in hitting percentage (.405). Also amongst the league leaders is
Ciara Hanly , who is third in blocks per set (1.30), while setter
Alessandra Gentile has been averaging 10.25 assists a set, which is third best in the Canada West.
The Dinos, armed with a 4-2 record, feature a few game-changing players of their own. On the attack, outside hitters rank 10th and 11th in Canada West with 3.05 and 2.96 kills per set, respectively. Second-year setter Erika Myhre has been a dynamic facilitator, as she sits second in Canada West in assists, with 221 on the season.

UBC Thunderbirds Super Weekend, a Super Weekend Ticket will allow viewers to watch both women's volleyball contests, as well as the 11 other varsity games that are being hosted on campus over the two days.
