VANCOUVER - Coming off of a dominant weekend sweep of Thompson Rivers University, the No.1 ranked UBC Thunderbirds (6-0) women's volleyball team heads to the Manitoba capital this weekend for a two game series against the Winnipeg Wesmen (3-3).
Sitting atop the Canada West standings with a perfect 6-0 record, having lost just three sets so far this season, the Thunderbirds are once again proving to be the class of the CIS. The six-time defending national champions have not lost in conference regulation play in over year (October 27, 2012).Â
