REDDING, CA - Heavy rains have forced a schedule change to the no. 13 UBC Thunderbirds (6-1) first weekend of conference action against Simpson University.
Friday's doubleheader has been canceled due to rain, up to 2-3 inches, but the weather forecast for the weekend looks better and should allow the two teams to get in all four scheduled games.
UBC and Simpson, in order to accomadate the T-Birds travel schedule, have scheduled a triple-header for Saturday, February 27th beginning at 11:00 a.m. The two squads will play three seven inning games back-to-back-to-back. They'll close out the opening weekend of conference play with a single nine inning game Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m.
