Robin D'Abreo is in his third season as the head coach of the women's field hockey program at UBC. In the summer of 2014, he replaced Hash Kanjee, who retired from UBC this year after 21 years as the head coach.

In his debut season, D'Abreo continued Kanjee's run of success, guiding the T-Birds to the 2014 CIS championship, their fourth McCrae Cup in a row.

UBC added to its record total of national championships by claiming its 17th CIS title in 2015, and its fifth in a row, both unmatched by any other school in the country.

Before UBC, D'Abreo most recently was the assistant coach for the Canadian senior women's national team.

A graduate of the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Applied Science, D'Abreo played 237 games for the Canadian senior men's national team over 13 years including competing at the Olympic Games (2000), World Cup (1998), and Commonwealth Games (1998, 2002, 2006).

Currently working toward his level 4 coaching certification, his coaching career began while he was still playing. First working with Field Hockey BC before joining Field Hockey Canada. He held a number of roles with the FHC including head coach of the men's senior national team, assistant coach for the women's senior national team, Director of sport development, and head coach of the women's U17 national team. He will remain on with Field Hockey Canada as a program coach.Â
