MUSCLE MLK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Fifth-year outside hitter Rosie Schlagintweit had a sparkling all-round weekend for the UBC Thunderbirds, who swept their Canada West quarter-final series 2-0 in Calgary against the Dinos.
Â
The T-Birds turned the tables on the hosts as just two weeks ago, UBC travelled to Calgary in regular season play and lost both matches.
Â
Schlagintweit led her team with 18 kills in a come-from-behind 3-2 victory in Game 1 on Friday. The Abbotsford, B.C., native had 18 kills and just two attack errors. She also recorded 12 digs and seven block assists.
Â
Then in Game 2 on Saturday, Schlagintweit posted 13 kills, again with just two errors, nine digs and three block assists in a four-set, series-clinching victory.
Â
Over the two matches, Schlagintweit had 31 kills, 21 digs and 10 block assists. She had an impressive .422 hitting percentage.
Â
UBC will face the Canada West hosts and regular season league champions Alberta in the first match of the conference semifinals in Edmonton on Friday night.
