UBC Thunderbirds forward Conor Morgan had an outstanding 57-point, 18-rebound weekend in leading his team to a home sweep of the Manitoba Bisons in Vancouver.

Morgan scored a career-high 35 points against the Bisons in Friday’s series opener, making 12 of his 17 field goal attempts, including three of his five from beyond the arc. In addition, Morgan also led all players in the game with 11 rebounds.

On Saturday, Morgan had a game-high 22 points as UBC won its fourth straight league game, and grabbed seven rebounds.

Over the course of the weekend, he went 19-for-28 from the field and 16-of-18 from the foul line. Morgan is now second in Canada West in points per game scoring, with an average of 21.5 points. At 66 per cent, he is also second in the conference in field goal percentage.

The Thunderbirds (4-0) will play a home-and-home series against Victoria this weekend, with the opener on Vancouver Island, before a Sunday matchup at War Memorial Gym.
