Danielle Brisebois had a career weekend, recording 40 kills, against the No. 1 Alberta Pandas as she led her UBC Thunderbirds to a two-game split in Vancouver.
 
The third-year player from Bolton, Ont., knocked down a career-high 19 kills on Friday in UBC’s five-set victory. Brisebois’ three kills that came after UBC was down 23-20 in the first set were instrumental in UBC’s comeback win. Two of the Thunderbirds’ last three points in the fifth set came off Brisebois kills.
 
She set a career high in kills again on Saturday as she recorded 21 in UBC’s 3-2 loss to Alberta. Brisebois was the only T-Bird in double digits in kills as the T-Birds took the Pandas to five sets for the second straight night.
 
UBC (7-5) hosts Winnipeg this weekend in Vancouver.
