Tatiana Rafter, the reigning Canada West Player of the Year, recorded four goals and an assist on the weekend, as she lead her No. 5-ranked UBC Thunderbirds to a weekend sweep of the Mt. Royal University Cougars in Calgary.
 
On Friday night, she the game's first goal to help UBC to a 3-2 overtime victory.
 
Then on Saturday night, the Winnipeg native scored a spectacular first-period natural hat trick to seal an 8-0 win. Rafter opened the scoring on the power play at 5:43. Then at 8:48, she potted an unassisted even-strength goal before scoring shorthanded at 18:37 to give her Thunderbirds a 3-0 lead going into the second period. Rafter added a third-period assist to cap off a four-point day, which vaulted her to the top of the Canada West scoring race. Her five goals and eight points put her in a tie for the league lead in both categories.
