Amrit Berar (Richmond, B.C.) was the Canada West women's Second Star of the Week. The forward scored both goals for UBC as the Thunderbirds toppled No. 2 Trinity Western in Canada West women's soccer action on Friday in Langley, B.C. The loss was TWU's first at home in more than two seasons.

Berar scored in the sixth minute, converting on a turnover to bury shot to the low left corner from the middle of the box.

Then in the 59th minute, Berar volleyed home a cross from Taylor Shannik to give the Thunderbirds their second straight road victory to open the 2015 Canada West season.

UBC (2-1) will host its first home games of the year this Friday and Saturday against Alberta and Northern B.C., respectively.
