Tommy Nixon recorded 38 points and 15 rebounds for the UBC Thunderbirds, who won their Canada West quarter-final series in two games over the UNBC Timberwolves.
 
The Vancouver native led UBC with 23 points and 10 rebounds in an 83-77 victory on Thursday night.
 
In Friday's series-clinching win, Nixon tallied 15 points, five rebounds and a team-high five assists as the T-Birds won 88-78.
 
His performance helped UBC earn a spot at the Canada West Final Four, which will be played in Saskatoon, Sask. The Thunderbirds will open against the host Saskatchewan Huskies on Friday night.
