UBC midfielder Milad Mehrabi scored twice and recorded an assist as his No. 1-ranked Thunderbirds defeated Lethbridge 8-0 on Saturday afternoon. For his efforts, he was named the Canada West 3rd Star of the Week.
 
The Coquitlam, B.C. native put away the host Pronghorns early, scoring in the 13th and 15th minutes to give his team a 2-0 lead. His second goal came on a penalty kick and tied him for the league lead in scoring with 11. Unfortunately, UBC last game of the season was cancelled due to snow and he didn't have one last opportunity to win the league scoring title outright.
 
Mehrabi also notched an assist on UBC's fourth tally of the game, which was scored by Niall Cousens.
 
His Thunderbirds host the Canada West Final Six this weekend in Vancouver. It starts on Thursday afternoon with two first round games. The gold medal match will be played on Sunday.
