The 2012 season will be Mark Rogers third as head coach of the UBC Thunderbirds women's soccer team. 

Last season, Rogers lead the Thunderbirds to a Canada West bronze medal. His team finished with a regular season record of 11-1-2, surrendering just five goals against. Firs Team All-Canadian Janine Frazao led the way with a Canada West best 16 goals on the season.

In 2010, Rogers first year at the helm, UBC won a Canada West silver medal after an 8-5-1 mark in the regular season. The T-Birds went on to make the consolation final at the CIS Championship.

A defender with the male T-Birds for two seasons (1996, '97), Rogers has an extensive resume both on the pitch as an international level player as well as an elite coach.

Most recently, he served as both the Technical Director of the Coastal WFC (USL Super Y League) and the Delta Selects program in addition to being the head coach of his hometown Tsawwassen Soccer Club.  Last season both the Coastal WFC U16 Boys and U16 Girls were crowned USL North American Champions.

Prior to holding these positions, Rogers served as head coach of the BC U15 provincial team and director of the District Development Centre from 2006 to 2008.

Rogers has also been an assistant coach with the UBC Thunderbirds men's soccer team since 2005, helping lead those teams to CIS Championships in 2005 and 2007 under head coach Mike Mosher.

A member of the T-Birds 1997 CIS silver medal winning squad, he tallied five goals over his UBC career.  Rogers then continued his career on the pitch with Wycombe Wanderes Football Club for five years, playing with the English Football League one side from 1998 to 2003, earning captain status with the Chairboys.  He closed out his professional career with a two-year stint as captain of the Stevenage Borough Football Club (English National Conference).

During his successful career overseas Rogers was also part of the Canadian men's national team from October 2000 to November 2003, earning eight caps for his country and winning a bronze medal representing Canada at the 2002 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
