This is Perry’s third season as assistant coach with the UBC men’s volleyball program.
He was a former standout with the Thunderbirds playing from 2009-2015. During his time as an athlete, Perry excelled at both the setter and libero where he currently sits second in the Canada West all-time digs with 957 and holds a record for most digs in three sets (21). Alongside his impressive play on the court, Perry was also was a leader, who captained the 'Birds for his final three seasons.
In 2015, he graduated from UBC with a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology, receiving Academic All-Canadian honours.
In 2016, Perry returned to UBC as an assistant coach while pursuing a Master's degree in Sport Psychology, which he completed in 2018.
Alongside coaching, Perry works for UBC Athletics as a Mental Performance Consultant working with numerous other varsity programs.
