Before UBC: Spent two seasons at Capilano (2008-09, 09-10) and one season at Selkirk College (2007-08)...captained the Capilano Blues in 2009-10...named Selkirk MVP as a freshman...graduate of Eric Hamber Secondary...named Eric Hamber Athlete of the Year in grade 12...lower mainland all-star and MVP while at Eric Hamber.

Family: Both of his parents are graduates of UBC, has two siblings currently attending UBC and his uncle, Rob Cholyk, captained the T-Bird basketball team in the late 1970s.
