Biography

Yee is back for his fourth season with the UBC Thunderbirds. In three years he has yet to miss a game, playing in 84 regular season games and 11 playoff games.

He scored one of the team’s biggest goals last year, an overtime winner against the NCAA Div. I power house University of North Dakota, in a 3-2 win at the Great Northwest Showcase.

Prior to joining the Thunderbirds, the Victoria, BC product spent three seasons and 164 regular season and 41 playoff games with the BCHL’s Powell River Kings. Yee was honoured numerous times  with Powell River, winning the team’s Community Involvement Award, Academic Excellence Award, Top Defenceman Award and the Coaches’ Choice Award.  Yee was also named a league Academic All-Star. 

A student in the School of Kinesiology, Yee runs his own hockey training company (Train 2.0) during the off-season.
