Jackson Playfair is in his second season as UBC’s full-time assistant coach.
A former WHL forward with the Tri-City Americans and Spokane Chiefs, the Abbotsford, B.C. native is very familiar with U SPORTS hockey having played four seasons for the Dalhousie Tigers in Halifax, graduating in 2019 followed by a stint in the ECHL with the Orlando Solar Bears.
After calling his playing career a day, Playfair decided to follow in his father's footsteps and move behind the bench. Jackson's dad, Jim, has been coaching in the professional ranks for over 20 years, most recently with the Edmonton Oilers.
