Biography

The native of Carlsbad, California played in 19 regular season games and one playoff game as a rookie with the Thunderbirds in 2013-14.

The 6’3, 230 lbs defenceman played five seasons in the WHL with Kamloops, Regina, and Red Deer.

In 272 career WHL games he accumulated seven goals, 33 assists, 40 points, and 406 penalty minutes.

A dual citizen of both the United States and Canada, Underwood’s grandfather Walter was a professor at UBC in the 1960’s.
