Access & Game Day
Will I receive a physical pass or a digital pass?
You will receive both. Your digital ticket provides entry into War Memorial Gym, and your laminated courtside pass (lanyard) grants access to the courtside seating area.
How will I receive my digital pass?
Your digital pass will be emailed to you
one week prior to the regular season home opener on Friday, October 24.
How do I pick up my courtside lanyard pass?
On opening night, Friday, October 24, stop by Will Call in the War Memorial Gym lobby to pick up your laminated courtside lanyard pass.
Important: You’ll need to show your digital ticket to enter War Memorial Gym at every game. After entry, your lanyard grants access to the courtside seating area. Keep it with you for the season.
What if I lose my lanyard?
If your lanyard is misplaced, please check in at Will Call on game night. Event staff will verify your digital ticket and provide a replacement pass. One replacement lanyard will be issued at no cost; additional replacements may be subject to a fee.
When do doors open on game day?
Doors open 60 minutes prior to tipoff of the women’s games. Courtside passholders may enter through the main entrance of War Memorial Gym.
What happens if I’m late to a game?
To ensure courtside is full for every game:
- If your seat is unoccupied by the end of the first quarter of either the women’s or men’s game, it may be reassigned to another guest.
- If you arrive after the first quarter, please check in with event staff at the courtside floor area. They will assist in relocating the guest in your seat so you can enjoy the game.
Transfers & Refunds
Can I transfer my courtside seat to a guest?
Yes. You may transfer your seat for a
specific game night by following these two steps:
- Send your digital pass to the person using your seat for that game.
- Email guest.services@ubc.ca by 12 p.m. on the Thursday of game week with your guest’s name.
Your guest will need to show the digital ticket to gain entry to War Memorial Gym. They can then proceed to Will Call in the lobby to check in and pick up their courtside lanyard pass for the evening.
Can I get a refund if I miss games?
Courtside season passes are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend a game, you may transfer your seat to a guest (see above).
