Biography

Saip enters his third seasonn with the Thunderbirds. Last year he played in 20 regular season games and five playoff games, registering one goal and three assists. 

The White Rock, BC product scored his first career CIS goal against the University of Lethbridge on November 1, 2013.

The steady defenceman came to UBC after playing 2011-12 with the South Surrey Eagles of the BCHL. In 60 regular season games, he had 7 goals, 16 assists, 23 points, and 83 penalty minutes. 

Prior to joining the Eagles he played 156 career games (regular season and playoffs) in the WHL with the Kamloops Blazers and Vancouver Giants.

Saip’s dad (Grant) and uncle (Dale) both played football at UBC. 

When not at the rink, you will find Saip playing with his band.
