KAMLOOPS, B.C. – Four goals powered a fourth consecutive victory on Friday night, as the Thunderbirds (10-0-2) had enough firepower to overcome the WolfPack (6-4).
Max Comsia and Markus Rukavina, the top two point-leaders in Canada West, proved that they could do it on a cold, rainy night in Kamloops as they combined for three goals and an assist. Eric Kim's first goal of the season provided both a final bit of insurance as well as arguably the biggest individual highlight of the night for the T-Birds.
It was Comsia who notched the first two tallies for UBC, the first coming after a skillful piece of dribbling from Henri Godbout, who turned a TRU defender inside-out on the wing before sliding a pass into the box for Comsia to fire home.
The third-year striker got his second off a corner kick, the ball coming first off the head of Rukavina who nodded it back across goal from the back post, putting it in the perfect spot for Comsia to swing and smash it into the back of the net.

Up 2-0 at halftime, the T-Birds didn't let their foot off the gas as they outshot the home team 8-0 in the final 45 minutes. Rukavina scored his fifth goal of the season in the 62nd minute, following some great work by Kim who danced down the sideline before cutting the ball back to where Rukavina stood unmarked.
Kim then took it upon himself to make one more goal happen less than 10 minutes later, picking his head up about 20 yards away from goal and firing an absolute rocket into the side netting. That capped the Thunderbirds' 10th conference win of the season, with just three more games to go before the playoffs.
Next up is a meeting with the UVic Vikes on Sunday afternoon, before the 'Birds return home for the final two games of the regular season.
