In a battle of the sister schools the UBC Thunderbirds will take on the UBCO Heat in Kelowna to begin theirs 2017-18 Canada West seasons.
Both games go at UBC Okanagan Gymnasium with the opener on Friday, October 20 at 7pm and the re-match on Saturday, October 21 at 8pm.

After a tough start to 2016-17, the Heat rattled off four consecutive victories to end their season, missing the Canada West playoffs. The 'Birds and Heat met in mid-September with UBC winning the non-conference match-up three sets to one.
