The Canada West women's soccer season gets started for real this weekend, as the reigning CIS champion UBC Thunderbirds travel across the Salish Sea to battle their arch rivals, the University of Victoria Vikes.

The teams had two hard fought meetings in 2015. UBC won their 2015 season opener with the Vikes 1-0. The two teams produced a 2-2 stalemate when they met again in October at Thunderbird Stadium.
